Here I've compiled a selection of frequently asked questions to help with any questions you may have...

How long does it take?
You will have a 40 minute shoot, this is plenty of time to get a good selection of different shots.

Do I need to bring anything?
No, but feel free to bring anything you like props wise, favourite teddies, baby seats, a change of clothes basically anything you think you would like to feature in your images.

How many people can be included?
I am happy to shoot a maximum of 5 people in one shoot, however if you have any special requirements please don't hesitate to contact me.

What should we wear?
Family Session - Neutral & matching colours, jeans & colours from the same family work well,  or mixed with denim, navy, white, blue & red.
Individual - This is completely down to your preference of whatever you would like to be photographed in, feel free to bring a change of clothes with you.
Pregnancy - Again this is according to your preference, the most striking images are created with either black or white clothing. The tighter the better to show off a bump to it's best potential, horizontal stripes are also great for doing this! I have an assortment of fabric and boob tubes that you can use to if you'd like. Please remember if you do wish to participate in any nude shots (which is ENTIRELY OPTIONAL) it's best to avoid wearing tight marking clothing for at least 2 hours beforehand to avoid the dreaded 'sock mark'!.

Should I do my hair/make-up?
Yes, please make yourself up as little or as much as you feel suitable to make yourself feel at ease. Flash does dull the vibrance of many brands of cosmetics so more is less in this case! Do avoid fake tan if possible as it sometimes looks particularly orange under studio lights!!

What will it cost me?
I have compiled pricing specifically to offer competitive rates that reflect quality along with great value for money. I aim to provide an economical alternative to national competitors. Please visit my
rates  page for full pricing information.

When will I be able to view my photos?
Your images will be available to view via an online gallery within 14 working days of your shoot. Orders cannot be processed until payment has been received in full.

Pregnancy specific…

Do I have to pose nude?
Of course not! This is your shoot therefore you decide how you feel most comfortable being photographed, this will be discussed before the shoot begins.

What if I am uncomfortable?
I'm a mum too and a Doula, so have seen it all before, I will do my best to put you at ease and make you feel comfortable, if at any time you feel unsure just say so I wont be offended.

What should I wear?
Whatever you like! I find the most striking images are created with either bold tight clothing. I have a selection of fabric that you can use. Do remember if you do wish to participate in any nude shots you will be required to avoid wearing tight marking clothing for at least 2 hours beforehand (as above) to avoid sock & bra indents/marks.

When is the best time for a pregnancy shoot?
The later the better! As far as having a well formed bump is concerned we have found that shoots from around 34 weeks and onwards produce the best results. Unless you are carrying twins or more in which case this is down to you! I have done shoots with some ladies who have gone on to give birth that evening!!
